Dream Glow is an OST from the BTS World album, meant for their game BTS World.

The song is an unit song, by Jin, Jimin and Jungkook, featuring Charli XCX.

Released on 28th June 2019, the song has a modern, reflective vibe that inspires listeners to follow their dreams.

English translation of the lyrics(Credit to Wisha, https://doyoubangtan.wordpress.com/)

I spend my whole life following the night time Can’t see the stop sign what you gonna say (hey) Wandering quietly right into my dreams It’s all that I see what you gonna say (hey)

Always feeling something bigger something real wild Keep on shining make it brighter than a spotlight (hey hey)

Sometimes I stop and stare Follow my dreams right there Dream glow (hey hey) Sometimes my dreams come true Sometimes they turn to blue Dream glow (hey hey)

The good boys that were said to be easy to raise with the scraped knees they tried to hide (hey) My constellation is a fragment of the sun; the glittering darkness, the dance of the shadow (hey)

Feel the light within the heart that does not cool Can’t lose to an opponent that hasn’t yet been won (hey hey)

A future that had been blinding (eh eh eh); in [my] brief pause, (eh eh) [it] will glow (hey hey) Here is my dream; stay (ey ey ey) I won’t give up (eh eh), you’ll glow (hey hey)

In the dark, early hours of the day, spread shaking wings Keep on shining, make it brighter than a spotlight (hey hey)

Sometimes I stop and stare Follow my dreams right there Dream glow (hey hey)

Here is my dream; stay (ey ey ey) I won’t give up (eh eh), dream glow You’ll glow (hey hey) You’ll glow (hey hey)

This song is a reflection of the emotions we go through as we have a dream in our mind. It’s a song for the lonely mind that believes in his dreams.

We all dream. They are always larger than what we see and live. Dreams can be fantasies or goals or both. Dreams can be the ideals we want to live with. Dreams are perceptional and opinioned.

When lonely, we often reminisce over those dreams. Sometimes we realize that we aren’t working enough towards our dreams and it hits home. And we start pursuing our dreams again. That moment, according to the song, is ‘Dream Glow’. The dreams may or may not come true, but the insight is what matters.

What may be a dream to us might be nothing to others, or even something unknown, non-existent to the rest. What may seem to be a fragment of the Sun to the world is our whole constellation. However small it is, it always remains treasured in our hearts. It is this dream that never lets us sleep.

The world thinks that we cannot achieve anything but what they don’t see is our fight to keep up to our passion. Rather, it’s what we don’t them want to know.

Our dreams, like any enemy, keep us awake. Dreams have been compared to that enemy that hasn’t been conquered over yet. We can’t be beaten upon by our own dreams.

A future that we could not imagine because we had derailed from our path will be able to glow now that we took a moment for ourselves, stopped and thought of our dreams.

The line ‘Here is my dream, stay e e e’, according to me, means that ‘My dream is here to stay’. Followed by ‘I won’t give up pursuing my dream’. Only then can “I” glow.

During our darkest, difficult times, we should grab the chance to chase our dreams. And so on, we must keep on shining, make it brighter than a spotlight!!

In Korean, it is quite common to drop the subject in a sentence. But BTS, in many of their songs, like to keep the lyrics mysterious in some ways so that the audience can interpret them.

Since Charli XCX sang the song along with Jin, Jimin and Jungkook, it is tricky to know who said what to whom – did they converse with each other, or did they speak to themselves, or are they advising the listeners? The 'hey hey's that repeat frequently in the song are shoutouts to the subject by the speaker, signalling us to wake up and follow our dreams.

If we consider the context of the song and the album which it is a part of—BTS World, the mobile game developed for BTS ARMY where they can help them debut as their managers.

So according to me, the song is a motivation for BTS when they were yet to debut. Or for ARMYs to not to give up on their dreams.

As for ARMYs, their dream is to see BTS, go to their concert and go again if they already went! And to listen to BTS for lifelong. I wish all our dreams will glow and we’ll shine!
