K-Pop has millions of followers in India and the number seems to have increased after Psy’s sensational Gangnam Style. The Hallyu swept through the North-East India first followed by many views and follows on YouTube and other social media. Now K-Pop has become a subculture among its followers, and Indian fans are no exception to it.
Dramas and music are the most followed Korean arts followed by Korean technology, then beauty and fashion products.
Most followed K-Pop artists include BTS, EXO, SHINee, GOT7, BigBang, WannaOne, Shinhwa, MonstaX, NCT, Seventeen, Stray Kids, Ateez, Super Junior, Blackpink, Twice, Red Velvet, SNSD, f(x), Mamamoo, G-Idle, and many more….
I know there are millions of BTS army worldwide and Indian armys represent a big slice of the pie. I will rant about BigHit Entertainment not holding a single event in India let alone the screening of two movies- Burn The Stage(November 25, 2018) and Love Yourself World Tour In Seoul(February 2, 2019).
Indian fans too have made fan clubs and held a number of successful events whenever possible. This is true not only about BTS Armys, but all other artists.
Through this blog I want to put forth the feelings of a common Indian BTS Army. I hope you enjoy reading about my adventures into the world of K-Pop, BTS and I’m sure you’ll be able to relate!!
